DSCN0380

During the evening Mass on Sunday, January 26, 2014, Bishop Mauro Parmeggiani of the Diocese of Tivoli in Italy entrusted to the Polish Province the care of two parishes in the city of Tivoli: Santa Maria della Fiducia (St. Mary of Confidence) and St. Bernardine of Siena. At the Mass Fr. Adam Otrębski was officially installed as Pastor of the two parishes, while Frs. Marcin Paca and Lucjan BartkowiaMadonnaFiduciak were named Parochial Vicars. All three priests had been working at the Parish of St. Mary and St. Blase in Castel Sant'Angelo, which has now been returned to the care of the Diocese. The Parish of Santa Maria della Fiducia, in the center of the city, has two pastoral centers which were joined in the same parish in 2009.

Among the fifteen concelebrants at the special Mass, celebrated in a gymnasium next to the church due to the large attendance, were the Polish Provincial Fr. Wes Śpiewak and Fr. General Bernard Hylla. Bishop Mauro remarked in his homily concerning the trail of our three confreres from Sant'Angelo to the center of the Diocese, the City of Tivoli.
