25 / Juli That we may practice external mortification as a necessary means to give our wills more perfect control over our other faculties, and to help us to attain the freedom of the sons of God, making us more receptive to God's graces. 26 / Juli That in accord with the Congregation's desire, one of our principal external mortifications will be that we carry out our apostolic labours faithfully and zealously, and be ready to accept sickness, other human limitations and the demands of the common life with patience and submission to the will of God.
