We are a religious community that was born in a lay environment; therefore, we help each person discover the power of the Holy Spirit at work in the sacraments of Christian initiation and invite them to take part in the responsibility for the Church’s mission. We recognize the important role of the laity in the life of the Church, listen with fraternal interest to their voice, and take into account their desires, perspectives, experiences, and competencies. Acknowledging the specific mission of the laity in the service of the Church, we give them the freedom to act, encourage initiative, and care for their religious formation.

A part of our tradition includes associations of lay people who live the Resurrectionist charism and mission according to their own state of life. We consider the Resurrectionist laity to be people who live our charism and mission, who are formed in the Resurrectionist spirituality. Over the last few decades, the Holy Spirit has been gathering such people in our Congregation, in organisational and structural diversity. We express our joy and gratitude for: the External Brothers (Poland; since 1981), the Bure Misie Community (Poland; since 1983), Resurrectionists Community of the Light-Life Movement (Poland and Vienna), the Community of the Risen Christ GALILEA (international, in two rites; since 1992), the Apostolates of the Resurrection (Ontario, Canada; since 2015), the Apostolate of the Resurrection (Peru; since 1983), Association of Friends of the Resurrectionists in Vienna (since 2022), Friends of the Resurrection Lay Association (Woodstock, Illinois, USA, since 2005), Friends of the Congregation (Resende, Brazil; since 2022). We would like to thank our confreres involved in the creation and development of these projects. We encourage others to cooperate in promoting and developing these (and new) communities.
