The Congregation engages in missionary work to the extent that the Church expects of an active religious institute. It carries out its missionary activity where there are significant spiritual and material needs. (CR Constitutions, 222).
Currently, in the strict sense, such activity mainly concerns Tanzania.
The Resurrectionists also conduct a mission in Bulgaria (which began in 1863), where there is a small percentage of believers and a great need for pastoral ministry.
The Congregation focuses its activities on developing and shaping the local Church in such a way that it becomes a community of faith, hope, and love—according to its culture. The overall goal of our missionary work is to ensure that all of humanity may form one People of God, become united in the one Body of Christ, and be built up as one temple of the Holy Spirit. (CR Constitutions, 223)
We encourage all members of the community and friends of the Congregation of the Resurrection to support the missionaries through personal interest, prayer, and material assistance.
