65 Years in Brazil

On March 9, 2024, at the Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida in the state of São Paulo, thanksgiving celebrations took place for the presence of the Resurrectionists on Brazilian soil. In this National Shrine in Aparecida, which is the second largest church in the world, religious and pilgrims from our parishes gathered, led by Fr. General Evandro Miranda Rosa CR, to rejoice in the 65-year service of the Congregation of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Brazil.
The solemn Eucharist was presided over by His Excellency Sérgio Aparecido Colombo, Bishop of the Diocese of Bragança Paulista, who delivered a commemorative sermon and blessed the jubilee statue of the Risen Christ intended for pilgrimage through Resurrectionist parishes in Brazil.
At the conclusion, the participants of the solemn celebration entrusted themselves to Our Lady, Queen and Patroness of Brazil.

In the following days, Fr. General visited our houses in the South American Region (in Brazil and Bolivia) to conduct a canonical visitation.
