On May 8, 2025, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, OSA, was elected the 267th Pope of the Church. He took the name Leo XIV. The successor of St. Peter celebrated a solemn Eucharist inaugurating his pontificate on May 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s Square.
