Inauguration of the Novitiate House in Tanzania

Tuesday, August 11, was a special day for the Resurrectionists in Tanzania, as it marked a new chapter in the history of the Mission. In the morning hours, the bishop of the Musoma diocese, Michael Msonganzila, arrived in Buhemba to lead the Holy Mass, and afterward, he blessed the new building where candidates from Africa will undergo their novitiate formation for the Congregation of the Resurrection. Present at the ceremony were our fathers Maciej Braun CR, Andrzej Duda CR, and Daniel Hinc CR, as well as postulants: five candidates for priesthood and one candidate for a brother collaborator. They will begin their one-year novitiate on the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, August 15, under the guidance of Father Andrzej Duda CR, the novice master.

The construction of the novitiate house began on March 3 of this year. Father Maciej, the Mission's superior, oversaw the project from start to finish. The rapid construction of the house was made possible thanks to the financial support of many generous people.

We praise the Risen Lord for the gift of new vocations to the Congregation, and we express our sincere gratitude to all those who support the Tanzanian Mission materially and spiritually, assuring them of our prayers.

The photos show the various stages of construction and the solemn blessing of the Novitiate.
