On December 15, 2016, the General Postulator of the Assembly requested Cardinal Angelo Amato, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, for the official opening of the beatification process of Bogdan Jański in Rome. In response on December 17 of the same year he received a decree allowing the opening of the diocesan process documentation. The date set for the opening was February 7, 2017. On that day, the Head of the Office of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, in the presence of the General Superior and the General Postulator, performed  the official opening of the documentation and checked its integrity. The entire documentation will then be divided into several hundred-page files and sent to the printing house, which will prepare two series of volumes from them by the end of March of the current year. These volumes will then be handed over to the Undersecretary of the Congregation, who will verify the compliance with formal regulations in the diocesan investigation, i.e., the validity of this investigation from a formal-legal standpoint.

In the Roman phase of the beatification process fama sanctitatis of Bogdan Jański must be recognized as constant and widespread. Therefore, emulating the example of Bogdan Jański's life and praying for his intercession by people who participate in the resurrection spirituality plays a crucial role in the process of affirming the holiness of his life by the Universal Church.
