Since July 10, the XVII General Chapter of the Sisters of the Resurrection has been in session in Rome. The theme of the Chapter is "The testimony of new life in Christ as the most beautiful gift offered to today's world."

On July 22, on the feast of St. Mary Magdalene, who was the first to bring the joyful news of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the delegates of the General Chapter elected Sister Dorota Zygmunt as the Superior General.

On the feast of Apostle James, on July 25, the elections for the general councilors took place. They are: Sr. Jeanne Marie Harla - General Assistant, Sr. Anna Helena Skalik, Sr. Ewa Maria Budnik, Sr. Maria Donata Wołowiec.

We wish the new Board God's grace in fulfilling the ministry of authority, and the General Chapter the light of the Holy Spirit for the further days of deliberations.
