Perpetual Vows in Sulisławice

On Sunday, September 7, 2014, at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows in Sulisławice, the patroness of the Polish Province of the Resurrectionists, brothers Tomasz Michał Koperek CR and Łukasz Wąsikiewicz CR made their perpetual profession. The solemn liturgy was presided over and the vows were received by the General Superior of the Congregation, Fr. Bernard Hylla CR. Over twenty Resurrectionists from Poland and abroad (Italy, Slovakia, USA, Brazil) participated in the concelebration. The liturgical setting of the ceremony was arranged by brother clerics and novices. Present were the parents, siblings, and families of the professed, as well as numerous parishioners and pilgrims who came for the annual indulgence. Traditionally, the perpetually professed received a cross and a paschal candle, which are signs of their voluntary sacrifice and special selection by the Risen Lord.
