Fr. Wiesław Hnatejko and Fr. Romuald Półtorak were awarded MEDALS FOR SACRIFICE AND COURAGE. On June 4, 2015, they saved the lives of two people by carrying them out from the second floor during a fire in a residential building on Sikorskiego Street in Złocieniec.
The ceremonial decoration on behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, was carried out by the Deputy Voivode of West Pomerania, Mr. Marek Subocz, on May 25, 2016, during the 24th Session of the City Council in Złocieniec.
