The Beginning of the Academic Year in Morogoro

For the Resurrectionists in Tanzania, along with the academic year 2016/2017, a new chapter in the history of the Mission has also begun. On September 23, the seminary community, along with Father Rector Andrzej Duda, returned to Morogoro and moved into the new formation house, overseen by Father Maciej Braun.
On Saturday, October 1, Brother Philip arrived last, having stayed with his family a few days longer to help rebuild the family home destroyed by a recent earthquake.
Father Rector describes the first impressions: “We really like the seminary building. It may be small, but it is spacious and comfortable. We are all happy that we do not have to live with someone else, but in our own religious and formation house. We are currently settling in and tidying up, and the clerics are registering at the university.”
From the new academic year at Jordan University College, our clerics will study in various programs. Clerics Joseph and Vitalis will begin a two-year program in Education with Religious Studies, and after its completion, they will undertake studies in philosophy. Cleric Philip, who has already completed philosophy, will begin theological studies, while Cleric Yohana will continue his second year of philosophy. Postulant Frank, who joined the community this year, will start the first year of a three-year philosophy program. Brother Mosses is also in Morogoro, continuing his junior formation.
We ask everyone for prayers so that this endeavor may yield the best possible fruits in the form of well-educated and formed African Resurrectionists.
