The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the customary day for the religious profession of the Resurrectionists in Tanzania. On August 15, 2024, the vows from brothers in Tanzania were received by the Superior General, Fr. Evandro Miranda Rosa. Five brothers made their vows for the first time, six renewed them for another year, and one Resurrectionist, Emmanuel, who is in formation for priesthood, made his perpetual profession. The day before, 10 candidates were admitted to the novitiate in Buhembe.

Before becoming a novice, one must go through the previous stages: candidacy, postulancy, and then the novitiate. The novitiate usually lasts one year, under the guidance of the novice master, where the candidate deeply discerns whether he is called to the Congregation.
