Renewal Program for Formators

Program odnowy dla formatorow 2025

The Renewal Program for the Formators of the Resurrectionists is taking place at our General House in Rome from June 2–14, 2025. It brings together 10 participants from Brazil, Canada, Poland, the United States, and Tanzania.
In addition to daily encounters with Jesus in prayer and the Eucharist, the program includes conferences on vocational and formational topics, case studies, reflections on vision and expectations in formation, as well as sessions dedicated to Bogdan Jański. There is also ample time for group conversations and sharing of personal and formational experiences.

The participants couldn’t miss the Wednesday General Audience with the Holy Father Leo XIV in St. Peter’s Square. On June 11, they listened to his teaching, which continues the series of Jubilee catecheses: Jesus Christ, Our Hope. The Pope reflected on Christ’s encounter with Bartimaeus and the miracle of restoring his sight and dignity. Leo XIV said: “We should never lose hope, even when we feel lost.” In seemingly hopeless situations, “Bartimaeus teaches us to draw from the resources we carry within us, which are part of who we are. He is a beggar—he knows how to ask, even cry out! If you truly desire something, do all you can to attain it, even when others criticize, humiliate, or tell you to give up.”

The participants have already visited sites in Rome connected to the history and life of the founders and their successors, and have celebrated liturgy there. In the catacombs of St. Sebastian, during Holy Mass—in the presence of God and before our Superior General, Fr. Evandro Miranda Rosa—all gathered renewed their religious vows. They also visited the former headquarters of the Resurrectionists—St. Claude Church—and the Generalate of the Sisters of the Resurrection.

Still ahead is a pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace in Mentorella—a place deeply rooted in Resurrectionist spirituality.
