On Saturday, April 27, at the parish church of St. John the Evangelist in Warthausen, in the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart, Archbishop Jean-Claude Perisset, the Apostolic Nuncio in Germany, conferred the presbyteral ordination on Deacon Frank Schwegler. The Mass was concelebrated by over twenty priests, including twelve Resurrectionists. After the 2-hour and 45-minute Liturgy, a special meal was served for the invited guests.

On Sunday, April 28, in the same parish church, Father Frank Schwegler celebrated his first Mass. Seventeen priests concelebrated, and the homily was delivered by Father Bernhardin Seither, the provincial of the Conventual Franciscans.

Father Frank completed his theological studies in 2008 in Tübingen and Lantershofen. He then entered the novitiate of the Congregation of the Resurrection and on July 20, 2012, he took his perpetual vows. The first assignment of the newly ordained Father Frank will be the parish of St. John the Baptist in Auerbach.
