On February 2, 2015, at the retreat and formation house of the Pauline Sisters in São Paulo, the XII Chapter of the South American Region of the Congregation of the Resurrection began. Its inauguration took place on the liturgical feast of the Presentation of the Lord, which by the will of St. John Paul II is proclaimed as the World Day for Consecrated Life. The Holy Mass was presided over by Father Luciano Piotrowski, the regional superior. After it, there was a prayer for the Congregation and all consecrated life, and a blessing with the Blessed Sacrament. Then Father Bernard Hylla, the general superior, addressed words of greeting and encouragement to the Chapter Fathers. The liturgical part concluded with the solemn announcement of the opening of the Chapter by the Regional Superior.

On the first day of the sessions, the reports of the superiors and formation directors were accepted, and the regional board for the next three years was elected. Father Lucjan Piotrowski was re-elected as the Regional Superior, and Fathers Antoni Motyka and Sławomir Siemieniec were elected as councilors. The Regional Chapter will conclude on February 6, 2015.
