On February 2, 2015, Feast of the Presentation of the Lord and the Church's Day of Consecrated Life, the South American Region of Resurrectionists began their twelfth Regional Chapter, held at the retreat-formation house of the Paulist Sisters in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Chapter was inaugurated by a Mass presided by Regional Superior Fr. Luciano Piotrowski. At the conclusion of the liturgy all the gathered members offered prayer for the intentions of the Congregation and for all men and women in consecrated life, and then they received the blessing with the Blessed Sacrament. Then Superior General Fr. Bernard Hylla addressed the Chapter, offering his greetings and encouragement for their work. At the end of the opening liturgy and prayer Fr. Luciano as Regional Superior announced the opening of the Chapter.
On the first day the Chapter accepted the reports from local superiors and the directors of formation, and then elections were held for the Region's leaders for the next three years. The current Regional Curia members were all re-elected: Fr. Luciano Piotrowski as Regional Superior, with first Councilor Fr. Antonio Motyka and second Councilor Fr. Sławomir Siemieniec.
The Regional Chapter will continue until concluding on February 6, 2015.
