We desire to be faithful to the grace received by our Founders, a grace in which we now share through our vocation to the Congregation of the Resurrection. We believe that certain truths are especially important for our life and work as Resurrectionists, as they reflect this very grace and calling.
We are convinced that God's love for us is merciful and unfailing. We have not earned this love. We are nothing, we possess nothing, and without God, we can do nothing. We are drawn to evil. We are sinners. Yet God never ceases to draw us to Himself.
We are convinced that in His love, the Father calls us to conversion: to a personal resurrection in union with Jesus, to a new life filled with the power of His Spirit. With Jesus, we die to ourselves when we offer our lives to the Father, renouncing everything that separates us from Him. The power of the Spirit forms Christ within us and moves us to respond with love to the immense love the Father has for us.
We are convinced that God calls us to live together as brothers, sharing the gifts we have received, helping one another, praying and working together for His glory. He has called us to be a community that is a living sign of Gospel values: justice, truth, and love.
We are convinced that God calls us to work together for the resurrection of society, bringing His life and love to all through our personal witness, through the witness of our community life, and through the apostolates of the Congregation, especially parish and educational ministry. It is necessary that we build and teach others to build Christian community in which all can experience the hope, joy, and peace of the Risen Christ.
We are convinced that for us as Resurrectionists, Mary is in all things the model of life and action.
