Day Intention Prayer
1 / July REFLECTION: “From the very beginning we were convinced that, if our own personal conversion and that of other brothers who were on the way to closer union with God were to be effective, it was proper and necessary that we withdraw from the social circles in which we lived and gather together to form a community. For our Congregation, our superiors, and vocations to our Congregation. For fidelity to our religious vows and our Community Charism. For the Sisters of the Resurrection.  
2 / July That Mary may teach us how to intercede for the needs of others and to pray for the outpouring of the Spirit upon the Church. (Art. 55) For our country, our parents, relatives, friends and benefactors. For peace in the world. For safety of all who travel during summer vacations.  

 
3 / July That we may honor Mary as Mother of our Congregation by imitating Her life of prayer, by praying to Her and by observing Her feasts in the liturgy. (Art. 55) For all those who have recommended themselves to our prayers. For blessing on the United States of America on this Independence Day. For continued blessing upon all members of the USA Province of the Congregation.  

 
4 / July That liturgical prayer, offered to God in union with Christ and in His name, will be given the primary place in our life of prayer because it is in this prayer especially that we offer the Father perfect praise and also that we experience our oneness with all the people of God. (Art. 56) For the grace to imitate our Founders. For all of our brothers in the missions: Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria and Tanzania. For all those who have recommended themselves to our prayers.  
5 / July That the Eucharist may be the central act of our daily life because it is here, through our participation in Christ's Paschal Mystery by dying and rising with Him that we encounter the deepest meaning of the Resurrection. (Art. 57) For the conversion of sinners and for all in affliction, temptation and agony. For further growth in the prayer life of the entire Congregation. For those who pray for us and our ministries.  
6 / July That in the Eucharist we may also experience reconciliation with our brothers and sisters and unity of heart and soul as we, together with Christ, offer ourselves to the Father. (Art. 57) For our deceased brothers and benefactors and for all of the faithful departed. For him who will die first among us. For vocations to the Congregation of the Resurrection.  
7 / July That in the Eucharist we may seek Christ, our spiritual food, who enables us to strengthen our baptismal and religious commitments, and that our devotion to Christ in the Blessed Sacrament may increase. (Art. 57) For increased fidelity to our Charism and our vows, and for the spirit of the resurrection. For those who were at one time members of the Congregation of the Resurrection. For those who have commended themselves to our prayers, and those for whom we have promised to pray.  

 
8 / July That a frequent encounter with the Risen Christ in the Sacrament of Reconciliation may form an essential part of our liturgical prayer because it is here that we ack­nowledge our complete dependence upon Him and receive the power to die to sin and to become conformed to Him. (Art. 58) For our parents and benefactors, living and deceased. For an end to terrorism and violence in the world. For the needs of our Church and the Congregation of the Resurrection.  

 
9 / July That we may hold the Liturgy of the Hours in special esteem because in it Christ and His Church pour out unending praise to the Father and intercede for the salvation of the whole world. (Art. 59) For the Church, our Holy Father and our local Ordinary. For vocations to the Congregation of the Resurrection. For peace in the world.  
10 / July That common prayer may be one of the ways in which we give expression to our unity; that through it we may support and encourage one another to remain faithful to the Community and to a life of prayer. (Art. 60) For the beatification of Fr. Paul Smolikowski, CR

For all the members of our local house. For our elderly brothers and especially for those who are sick at this time.  

 
11 / July That we may esteem common prayer as especially efficacious because Christ is in our midst when we pray together, and be convinced that the Holy Spirit can speak to us through others when we are united in spontaneous prayer. (Art. 60) For our country; for civil rulers on the local and national level. For our parishioners, students and co-workers. For Catholics who are displaced due to terrorism and violence.  

 
12 / July That we may value personal prayer as our most intimate conversation with God, wherein we experience His great love for us and our total dependence on Him, and as our best preparation for common and liturgical prayer. (Art. 61) For our parents, relatives, friends and benefactors. For all those who have recommended themselves to our prayers. For the safety of all traveling this summer.  
13 / July That through a reflective and prayerful reading of the Sacred Scriptures the Holy Spirit may inspire us to grow in our knowledge and appreciation of Christ and to strive earnestly to become more like Him. (Art. 62) For the grace to imitate the zeal of our Founders. That through the intercession of St. Kateri Tekakwitha we may pray for our Native Americans. For a return to the faith for those who are lapsed Catholics.  

 
14 / July That we may read our Constitutions frequently and reflectively, since all forms of spiritual reading, but especial­ly our Constitutions, will serve to strengthen our prayer life. (Art. 63) For all of our brothers in the missions: Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria and Tanzania. For a spirit of on-going conversion in all of our members. For the gift of healing for those who are sick.  

 
15 / July That mental prayer and contemplation may play a vital role in the development of our union with Christ, since no friendship can exist or grow where interpersonal com­munication does not exist. (Art. 64) For the conversion of sinners, and for all in affliction, temptation and agony. For the Sisters of the Resurrection. For vocations to the Congregation of the Resurrection.
16 / July That we will frequently set aside our activities to listen to God and converse with Him, since we know that God will speak to us within the depths of our hearts. (Art. 64) For our deceased brothers, family and benefactors, for the souls in Purgatory, and for him who will die first among us. For our Provincial Superiors and Provincial Councilors in each province and region of the Congregation of the Resurrection. For further growth in the prayer life of the entire Congregation.  

 
17 / July That, after the example of Christ, we will withdraw from time to time from our apostolic labours in order to devote some time exclusively to reflection and prayer, in order to render our apostolate more fruitful by strengthening our union with Christ. (Art. 65) For fidelity to our Charism and our vows, and for the spirit of resurrection. For all of the intentions of members of our Congregation, especially for health and spiritual growth. For our General Curia members who serve the worldwide Congregation.  
18 / July That we may recognize the examen as one of our indispensable spiritual exercises since, if we are to grow in our surrender to Christ, reflection on our fidelity to His grace is necessary. (Art. 66) For the Church, our Holy Father and our local Ordinary. For the Anglican Community of the Resurrection. For former members of the Congregation.
19 / July That, wherever local circumstances permit, the religious will come together each day for common prayer, and that a community Mass, preferably concelebrated, will be held wherever and whenever feasible. (Art. 67 and 68). For our Congregation, our Superiors, and vocations to our Congregation. For a rededication to their vocation on the part of all Resurrec­tionists. For all deceased Resurrectionists.  
20 / July That, besides daily participation in the Eucharist, morning prayers and evening prayers, each religious will spend at least one hour each day in private prayer and reflection. (Art. 70) For growth in our trust, acceptance and affirmation of one another within community. For our country, and for civil rulers on the local and national level.  
21 / July That at least once a month, the religious come together for either a conference, study session or discussion period which is theological or ascetical in orientation. (Art. 72) For our parents, relatives, friends and benefactors, and for all who have recommended themselves to our prayers. For vocations to the Congregation of the Resurrection. For peace in the world.  
22 / July That in the spirit of mortification, for the perfect fulfilment of our vows and in order to truly die together with Christ, we will carry out everything properly and faithfully, courageously face all adversities and lovingly and eagerly conquer all difficulties and anything that can turn us away from God. (Art. 80) For the grace to imitate our Founders. For the perseverance of all the members of the Congregation of the Resurrection. For our priests, deacons and brothers who work in parishes, schools, and health facililies.  

 
23 / July That, in view of the fact that we are called to the apostolic life, we strive to acquire internal mortifica­tion which includes recollection, silence and the awareness of God's presence. (Art. 81) For our brothers in the missions, especially in Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria and Tanzania. For vocations to our Congregation. For the safety of all traveling this summer.
24 / July That we may practice external mortification as a necessary means to give our wills more perfect control over our other faculties, and to help us to attain the freedom of the sons of God, making us more receptive to God's graces. (Art. 82) For the conversion of sinners, and for all in affliction, temptation and agony. For the members of our local communities in their efforts to bring the care, compassion and forgiveness of Christ to one another. For all married couples and their families.  
25 / July That in accord with the Congregation's desire, one of our principal external mortifications will be that we carry out our apostolic labors faithfully and zealously, and be ready to accept sickness, other human limitations and the demands of the common life with patience and submission to the will of God. (Art. 82) For our deceased brothers and benefactors, for all the faithful departed, and for him who will die first among us. That the Extended General Council may prove effective in meeting the needs of the universal Community. For God's blessing on the people of St. Anne in the Mountains Parish in Running Springs, California.  
26 / July That through Canonical Visitations and frequent contacts, the Superior General may effectively promote unity, fruitful community life and fidelity to the Congregation's Charism. (Art. 87) For fidelity to our Charism and our vows, and for the spirit of the resurrection. For continued growth in the prayer life of the Community. For those who have asked us to pray for their intentions.
27 / July That we will foster the conviction that we are members of a single loving Resurrection family and, therefore, are to be sensitive to the needs of members of the Congregation in other Provinces and Regions. (Art. 102) For the Church, for our Holy Father, and for our local Ordinary. For all the members of our Community, but remembering especially our brothers. For couples and families who face difficulties in their relationship.  
28 / July That Canonical Visitations may take place in an atmosphere of fraternal love and confidence, and lead to spiritual and apostolic growth. (Art. 102) For our Congregation, our superiors and for vocations to our Congregation. That our monthly days of recollection may be a fruitful source of motivation and renewal. For our deceased brothers and benefactors, for all the faithful departed, and for him who will die first among us.  

 
29 / July That in individual interviews, the Superior General may call to the attention of the members matters that pertain to the religious, priestly and apostolic life  and discipline. (Art. 102) For our parents, relatives, friends and benefactors, and for all who have recommended themselves to our prayers. For peace in the world. For those struggling in their faith relationship to God.  
30 / July That Provincial/Regional Superiors and their Councils may succeed in co-ordinating, directing and stimulating the internal and external apostolate of the Province/Region through close contact with the individual religious and the local communities. (Art. 121) For the grace to imitate our Founders and for fidelity to our Charism. For vocations to the Congregation of the Resurrection. For the eyes of faith to see God in all of creation.  

 
31 / July That, since the strength of the Congregation is dependent upon the intensity of the spiritual life and the fruitful apostolic life of each local community, individual Houses will strive to be vital Christian communities, where the faith, hope and love of each religious is both expressed and developed. (Art. 135) For our brothers in the missions of Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria and Tanzania. For the conversion of sinners, and for all in affliction, temptation and agony. For all Christians, that in time of trials and suffering they may be supported by the hope of eternal salvation.
