Day Intention Prayer
1 / September That our prayer may be constant and persevering, so that our studies, apostolate and indeed all our activities will flow from a prayerful heart, united at all times with God, our heavenly Father. (Art. 153) For our Congregation, our superior and for vocations to our Congregation. That we may often reflect upon the Charism of our Congrega­tion - the special grace and call received by our Founders and shared by us. For God's blessing on our benefactors, living and deceased.  
2 / September That, since prayer and spiritual growth in general take place primarily in the secret of one's heart, we will consider it essential to seek and receive proper and competent spiritual direction. (Art. 154) For our country, for civil rulers on the local and national level. For our Formators, and for our novices and semi­narians. For a spirit of on-going conversion in all of our members.
3 / September That, in order to form an integrated and mature religious, we will strive to develop all aspects and talents of our person simultaneously: the physical, emotional, intellec­tual, spiritual and social. (Art. 155) For our parents, relatives, friends and benefactors, and for all who have recommended themselves to our prayers. For vocations to the Congregation of the Resurrection. For our Formators on every level.  

 
4 / September That, to help us realize our full potential in our vocation, the Congregation may provide a favourable environment, an atmosphere of freedom in the context of well-defined personal responsibility. (Art. 156) For the grace to imitate our Founders, and for fidelity to our Community Charism. For our elderly brothers and especially for those who are sick at this time. For blessings for our Congregation.  
5 / September That the Congregation may grant is members the freedom to show initiative and creativity, and urge them to use this freedom for the good of the community in which we live. (Art. 156) For all of our brothers in the missions: Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria and Tanzania. For all of the sick and suffering, especially those in hospitals and nursing homes. For Father General and his Councilors.  
6 / September That, along with trust, dialogue and communica­tion, members will exercise freedom in a responsible manner, and thus enhance the quality of obedience as they grow from a more external submission to authority to a healthier sense of co-responsibility for the work and well-being of the Congregation. (Art. 156) For the conversion of sinners, and for all in affliction, temptation and agony. For the grace to imitate our Founders, and for the spirit of the resurrection. For our local Superiors and House councils

 
7 / September That there may be unity of heart and mind between religious and those in authority - a unity which implies a common responsibility for the present and future good of the Congregation. (Art. 157) For our deceased brothers and benefactors, souls in purgatory and him who will die first among us. For those in our Congregation who are struggling with their faith. For a deeper devotion to Our Lady.  
8 / September That unity of heart and mind between religious and those in authority may promote the exercise of fraternal correction and prevent fear and human respect from deterring a religious from sharing with his brother and, if necessary, with the proper authorities his certain knowledge of serious defects in one of his confreres. (Art. 157) For fidelity to our Charism and religious vows, and for the spirit of the resurrection. For couples and families who face difficulties in their relationship. For our local bishops and all the priests, religious and people of God in these dioceses.  

 
9 / September That trust and respect among all the members may be strengthened by encouragement and acceptance and be motivated by truth and charity, so that love flowing from truth may be the predominant force in our formation process. (Art. 158) For the Church, for our Holy Father and for our local Ordinary. For graces to all those seeking healing from abuse in the home and in the Church. For the conversion of sinners, and for all in affliction, temptation and agony.  
10 / September That our goal may be the personal development of the whole man: growth in Christian maturity by becoming more aware of our sinfulness and God's merciful love, deepening of our vowed commitment, adaptation of our personal life in order to strength­en common life, and development of our gifts and talents so that we may use them in the apostolic work of the Congregation. For our Congregation and our Superiors and for vocations to our Congregation. For the gift of healing for those who are sick in our Congregation, family and friends.  

 
11 / September That we may continue our spiritual formation through a deepening awareness of the life and works of the Founders, a growing union with the Risen Christ through prayer and the exercise of fraternal charity in living the common life in simplicity, and an increasingly self-dis­ciplined life based on the Gospel which witnesses to the death and resurrection of Christ. (Art. 163) For our country, for civil rulers and for peace in the world. For our priests who serve as confessors who share God's unconditional love. For those in our Congregation who are struggling with their faith.  

 

 
12 / September That we may continue our doctrinal formation through growth in the personal assimilation of the mysteries of faith and in the ability to communicate these mysteries in terms understan­dable to the culture and the times. (Art. 164) For our parents, relatives, friends and benefactors, and for those who have recommended themselves to our prayers. For those preparing for the sacrament of Marriage. For our priests who administer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, that they might be ministers of God's healing.  

 
13 / September That our brothers may exercise their specific role in the apostolate according to the needs of the Congregation and their own personal abilities and interests. (Art. 167) For the grace to imitate our Founders, and for fidelity to our Community Charism. For all of us as we offer some form of mortification to honor the vigil of Our Lady of Sorrows. For the courage and hope to address the sorrows of our people.
14 / September For responsible for formation, that they may be mature religious adequately prepared for their offices and filled with the spirit of the Church and the Charism of the Congregation. (Art. 168). For all of our brothers in the missions in Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria and Tanzania. For God's blessing on the people of St. Mary in Kitchener, Ontario. For all Resurrectionists on this community feast day.  

 
15 / September That those responsible for formation may be careful to respect the human dignity and the special divine vocation of persons entrusted to their care, and that they will take into account the natural and supernatural endowments of the individual so as to enable him to make the greatest possible contribution to the work and progress of the Congregation. (Art. 169) For the conversion of sinners, and for all in affliction, temptation and agony. For the grace of perseverance for those who are in formation. For vocations to the Congregation of the Resurrection.
16 / September That, in order to meet the increased demands of contemporary ministry, the religious will foster their own spiritual and professional growth by spiritual direction, personal reading, private study and by attendance at seminars, workshops and other study programs. (Art. 172) For our deceased brothers and benefactors, the souls in pur­gatory, and for him who will die first among us. For the International Formation Commission and for provin­cial/regional formation commissions. For the gift of wisdom for our Pastors.  
17 / September For Vocation Directors in our provinces/region who are charged with the serious obligation and respon­sibility of fostering and developing vocations to the Congregation. (Art. 171) For fidelity to our religious vows and for the spirit of the resurrection. For those who have left the Community, those who live on the margin of the Community, those who are finding difficulties with their vocation. For God's blessing on the people of St. Stanislaus Kostka parishes in: Chicago, Illinois and Hamilton. Ontario.
18 / September That we may frequently renew our religious profes­sion: "I vow to God chastity, poverty and obedience in this Congregation of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ according to its Constitutions. May God help me to keep faithfully this commitment. " (Art. 186) For the Church, our Holy Father, and for our local Ordinary. For fidelity to our religious vows and our Community Charism. For those in our Congregation who are struggling with their faith.  
19 / September That the Masses to be offered once a month in each house for Community intentions may not be regarded as a burden, but as an act of loving gratitude. (Art. 73) For our Congregation, our superior and for vocations. For the grace to be effective evangelizers to the unchurched. For those on the verge of death, for the grace to embrace the Risen Lord.  

 
20 / September That we may continue to remember the deceased members and novices of the Congregation as we will wish others to remember us after our death. (Art. 74) For God's blessing on the people of St. Matthew Parish in Schaumburg, Illinois. For those who have commended themselves to our prayers, and those for whom we have promised to pray. For the deceased members and benefactors of the Congregation.  
21 / September That our prayers for the Ordinary of the diocese may be an expression of our union with the local church. (Art. 75) For our parents, relatives, friends and benefactors, and for all those who have recommended themselves to our prayers. For a recommitment to our consecrated life as religious in and for the Church. For blessing upon all families.  

 
22 / September That we may constantly support the Superior General with our prayer in appreciation of his service to the entire Community (Art. 76) For the grace to imitate our Founders. For all of those in formation and for our Formators. For vocations to the Congregation of the Resurrection.  
23 / September That we may continue to honor Mary in the celebra­tion of Her feasts and promote devotion to Mary in our aposto­lates. (Art. 78) For our brothers in the missions in Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria and Tanzania. For those families struggling with addiction, communication and financial issues. For God's blessing on our benefactors, living and deceased.  

 
24 / September That, since the Congregation is dedicated to the Lord's Paschal Mystery, we may strive to live the new life and hope of this Mystery in every phase of our apostolic life, so that we may achieve our own resurrection and that of society. (Art. 191) For the conversion of sinners, and for all in affliction, temptation and agony. For our Provincial Superiors and Provincial Councilors in each province and region of the Congregation of the Resurrection. For further growth in the prayer life of the entire Congregation.  
25 / September That our apostolic endeavours may always take into account the demands of a changing world and the needs of the contemporary Church as well as the needs of community life. (Art. 191) For the living and deceased parents and benefactors of members of the Congregation. That we may often reflect upon the Charism of our Congregation - the special grace and call received by our Founders and shared by us. For vocations to the Congregation of the Resurrection.  

 
26 / September For the educational and parish apostolates, mini­stries which are recognized as the primary apostolates of the Congregation. (Art. 192) For the deceased members of our Congregation, for the souls in purgatory and for him who will die first among us. For the conversion of sinners, and for all in affliction, temptation and agony. For those who have commended themselves to our prayers, and those for whom we have promised to pray.  
27 / September That the Congregation may be open to the fact that there might be times when the needs of a local church or the talents of an individual religious will call the Congregation to commission a religious to engage in an apostolate which is an extension of the primary apostolates. (Art. 192) For fidelity to our religious vows and for the spirit of the resurrection. For continued blessing on all Resurrctionists throughout the world. For all Christians, that in time of trials and suffering they may be supported by the hope of eternal salvation.
28 / September That for us as Resurrectionists, the apostolate may represent a call through Christ to lead an apostolic life imbued with a deep and lasting faith, "without which it is impossible to please God" (Hebrews 11:6). (Art. 193) For our Community apostolates of parish work and teaching, and for the people we serve, as well as for those who assist us in our work. For God's blessing on the people of St. Michael Parish in Paget West, Bermuda. For our Resurrectionists who work in health care facilities.  

 
29 / September That, since faith is the necessary condition for effective apostolic activity, the religious will pray that the "Lord increase our faith" (Luke 17:5), so that it may permeate our entire life, mobilizing our efforts in the apostolate. (Art. 193) For the grace to imitate the faith, hope and love of our Founders, and their courage in facing trials in our aposto­lates. For our Community apostolates of parish work and teaching, and for the people we serve, as well as for those who assist us in our work. For the deceased parents, relatives and friends.  

 
30 / September That, under the pressure of apostolic activity, the Resurrectionist will maintain a unity in his work and spiritual­ity. (Art. 194) For the Church, our Holy Father, and for our local Ordin­ary. For God's blessing on the people of St. Theresa Cathedral Parish in Hamilton, Bermuda. For the grace to imitate the faith, hope and love of our Founders, and their courage in facing trials in our aposto­lates.
