On the Solemnity and Community Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, August 15, 2016, in Buhemba, Tanzania, four brothers made their first profession of the religious vows of poverty, chastity and obedience as Resurrectionists, while Brother Mosses Katikiro returned to vowed life in the Congregation, also professing vows for one year. In the photo (from left), are the five young men who are now Resurrectionists: Joseph Juma Chacha, C.R., Michael Yohana Henrico Kachwele, C.R., Mosses Katikiro, C.R., Philip Justinian, C.R. and Vitalis Masika, C.R. The four novices and returning brother were guided in their formation for the past year by Novice Director Fr. Andrzej Duda, C.R., and his Socius Fr. Maciej Braun, C.R.
In the week preceding their vows, the newly professed were guided on a preparatory spiritual retreat by General Councilor Fr. Evandro Miranda Rosa, C.R., who also received the vows as a delegate of our Superior General. Also present for the solemn celebration of the Eucharist were Fr. Daniel Hinc, C.R. (pastor in Butiama), Resurrectionist Sisters who also work in the region, some other religious and priests of the region, family members of the professed and many other guests and parishioners. We continue to praise God for our young vocations and ask the Risen Lord to bless our Tanzanian Mission. Alleluia!
