On June 28, Father Evandro Miranda Rosa CR of the South American Region was elected the new Superior General of the Congregation of the Resurrection. He is the first Brazilian superior general. Until his election, Father General served as Vicar General, Procurator General and Econom General.
Subsequently, the General Chapter elected general councilors in successive sessions: Fr. Robert Rapińczuk CR of the Polish Province was elected Vicar General, while Fathers Andrzej Gieniusz CR (I) of the Polish Province and Krzysztof Swół CR of the Polish Province (II) were elected General Councilors.
